Reasons why I Adore Sushi:
* It's pretty looking
* It's really good for you
* Even when it has "bad stuff" (i.e. is deep fried or has cr.cheese or what have you) the pieces are SO small and 90% of the time i'm sharing anyway, so it doesn't even matter
* Exotic combinations that end up tasting amazing
* bite size pieces... most of the time
* Realitively inexpensive, when sharing, if you know where to look. Sometimes you just have to drop the fifteen bucks on the Honeybee roll.
* Did I mention the sauces? spicy mayo, honey wasabi, even eel sauce... freakin deakin' delicious!

the quarter has gotten off to a pretty decent start. i'm getting most of my goals accomplished - filed my taxes, make my lunch most days, am pretty darn productive at work, hanging out more at home, etc etc. i feel like all of a sudden i'm going to get extremely extremely busy. i have to plan for the summer. i have to plan for amber's wedding. i have to be present in the here and now.
another thing i adore right now is the writing of donald miller. i'm tearing through "Through Painted Deserts" again, and it makes me want to sell everything and hit the road in a van, driving until I can't any more. with a special person of course ;)
the bits about living life as it's meant to be lived, in the now, the right now, this very second, savoring it and learning from it:
"We are shaped by our experiences. Our perception of joy, fear, pain, and beauty are sharpened or dulled by the way we rub against time."
~ Donald Miller, Through Painted Deserts
i don't want this quarter to hurry by as quickly as i'm afraid it's going to. yes, i'm on the brink of a new adventure, but getting to that point and preparing for it is all part of the journey.
